This summer, Boston had the chance to go to scout camp with his cousins on the Wood side of the family, at Camp Frontier up in the Uintah Mountains. We decided to have Braden go up for a few days before he needed to come back for a different trip with his Priest Quorum. And, Brock went up just for the first afternoon and earned a merit badge before spending the rest of the week at Grandma and Grandpa Hart's house. This is an amazing picture of Grandpa Wood with his Boy Scout-aged grandsons. Three of these boys are other boys in the troop, but 11 of them are Wood boys.
Here is a moose that was in the lake up there. Beautiful!
Boston said that was some COLD water they had to swim in to show their swimming aptitude.
Here they are at the dinner table the first day. I have to feed five boys everyday. I can't imagine feeding this many! That's why scout camp is so expensive!
Grandpa stayed up there with them all the whole week. This is where he spent most of his time!
Here are Braden, Jaren and Brent in the 16-year-old tent. Even though they are already Eagle Scouts, they had fun camping with cousins and even earned some more merit badges.
Here are Boston and Josh relaxing at the campsite.
Brock earned his Art Merit Badge the afternoon he was there. Scott and Grandpa (an artist) did it with him.
Camp Wood!
Sentimental Scott is always a sucker for a souvenier and bought the boys these Camp Frontier shirts.
The boys all had so much fun. Brock, next year you will be able to stay the whole time!
