Youth Conference

The first weekend of August, our ward had its youth conference.  Scott went with Braden and Boston and they all had a great time. Their first stop was Cove Fort.  The colored bandanas they are wearing marked the three different groups of kids.

Braden tries his hand at pioneer games.
They hiked to Ensign Peak and had a picnic lunch there.
And then went to the Salt Lake City Cemetery and looked at the graves of the prophets and had a small fireside.
On a different day, and since half of the group was staying at Moose Hollow up in Eden, they went to David O. McKay's home in Huntsville.
They did a service project at the Ogden Nature Center, which all of the kids said was a hard but very fun experience.
It wasn't all work, though.  They had a BBQ and swim party up at the Wood's condo in Eden.  Here are some of the boys relaxing in the hot tub.  I love how evenly spaced they are.  Clearly following "guy rules".
And a close up of Boston. :)
They had fun playing sand volleyball.  What a view of the valley!
They spent the last day at the temple square and the church museum.  There were a few kids who had never been to the Salt Lake Temple who thought it was amazing (which it is)!
The day after youth conference was Fast Sunday, and many testimonies were born about the great experience they all had at youth conference!
