Scouts

We love scouts!  In November, my fourth boy started the Cub Scout program.  Last week, Bo earned his Bobcat award, which is the first award in Cub Scouts.  It was so fun to teach another boy the scout oath, motto, etc.  What more can you ask than for your son to do his "duty to God and my country, to help other people and to obey the law of the pack"?
On the same night, Brock earned his Arrow of Light award, which is the highest award in Cub Scouts.  In February Brock will move on to Boy Scouts.
Here he is with his award.
I remember when Braden started the scouting program in 2003.  I figured out that Scott and I would probably spend about 16 straight years, with usually at least 3 boys, involved in the scouting program.  Right now we have an Eagle Scout, a (almost) Life scout, an (almost) 11-year-old scout, and a brand new Bobcat scout.  This means that this year, 2011, we should be about halfway through with all of the scout years.  Of course, the hardest ones (Eagle projects) are yet to come.  Here's to five scouts!
